I am so deeply sad to hear of Jack's death.  He was a wonderful, warm and<br>
generous person with a great sense of humor.  But you already know that.<br>

I also deeply regret that I won't be able to attend the Convention this<br>
weekend.  I had too many work and church-related obligations to get out of.<br>
I will be holding you and yours in prayer and will come to the Wichita area,<br>
probably after the holidays, when I can spend some time with  you.  I'm so<br>

husband, of 44 years,  Jack,  passed away yesterday. So many of you knew him<br>
and sent your prayers and warm thoughts our way during this difficult summer<br>
and we appreciated all of them. He was committed to the federation for many<br>
decades and enjoyed knowing each of you.<br>
<br>
 Our family would love to have you join with us on Sunday, November 22nd,<br>
anytime between 1:30-8 P.M.  for viewing and visitation at the Derby Smith<br>
Family Mortuary, located at:<br>
1415 N. Rock Road, Derby.<br>
We will have finger food available.<br>
 The funeral will be held Monday, November 23rd, 10:00 A.M. also at Smith<br>
Family Mortuary - There will be a Fort Riley honor guard, 21 gun salute and<br>
taps. at Hill Crest cemetery following the funeral.  Hill Crest is located<br>
just south of Derby.<br>
<br>
Following the burial you are invited for a luncheon - destination to be<br>
announced.<br>
<br>
Jack asked that one of his memorials  options be for the NFB of Kansas.<br>
