Our great <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Senator Bob Dole</span></strong> led the charge in the 1990s to pass the <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)</span></strong>, and following in his footsteps this Congress has made great strides in new policies like the ABLE Act. I'm proud of that work we've done and look forward to continuing to build upon it.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-size:10.5pt;color:#333333'>Last week, the House passed <a href="http://yoder.congressnewsletter.net/mail/util.cfm?mailaction=clickthru&gpiv=2100147012.101825.576&gen=1&mailing_linkid=140564" target="_blank">H.R. 620</a>, the <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>ADA Education and Reform Act</span></strong>, in spite of my vote in opposition to the bill. I believe that this bill is an unfortunate weakening of the ADA and a step backward for people with disabilities, simply making it harder for them to have their rights represented in court by creating new hoops for them to jump through.
