I encourage anyone that’s able to participate. Please consider going and show your support.</span></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I wanted to bring to your attention that here locally. We have similar issues not only with Uber and Lyft services. But also with the KCATA Public and Paratransit service here in the Greater Metropolitan Kansas City area for both Kansas and Missouri. <span style="font-size: inherit;">The local NFB of KCMO, Ivanhoe and Johnson-Wyandotte chapters are spearheading a Townhall meeting with KCATA on October 7th. Along with several other organizations, Who plan to attend and address the current issues, of poor and diminishing transportation services that the blind and disabled community depend on heavily. </span></div><div dir="ltr"><span style="font-size: inherit;"><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span style="font-size: inherit;">The Townhall meeting will be held on October 7th,at TWP main office located at 3710 Main St., KCMO in the community room of the building. The meeting is from 11 AM to 2:00 PM I encourage you to please come and add your concerns and questions to KCATA Freedom Ride Bus services. </span></div>

A fun and adventurous outing to the Renaissance fair, that is held in Wyandotte County, KS. We want to show others that blindness is not something that holds us back or stops us from participating in normal activities in our community. As well as promoting exercise and good health with fun outdoor activities. if you would like to participate in our event set for October 13, 2024. At the Bonner Springs/sandstone area (Exact time and Address location will be sent out Soom) and I also like to mention that the theme for that weekend, Renaissance fair is “Halloween fun”, so you are welcome to come in costume if you wish, in keeping with the spirit of the event. of course this is optional.
