An amendment was added by committee chairman Delperdang to change the effective date from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2027. The rationale for this change is that the funds for Kansas NFB NewslineŽ have already been dedicated for the current state fiscal year. I do not regard this as a harmful amendment since there will be no disruption of the service if the bill is fully enacted with this change of effective date. So overall, this is very good news.</div><div><br></div><div>So now we move to the next phase, which is to keep the bill moving to the House chamber.
