The situation is getting particularly urgent as the turnaround deadline is coming up on Thursday. This means that bills from non-exempt committees must be disposed of in the body of origin and be moved on to the other body. In this case, if the House fails to pass the bill by day's end on Thursday, it will die and we will have to start all over next year with a whole new introduction.</div><div><br></div><div>It is therefore imperative that we double down by contacting both majority leader Dan Hawkins and speaker Dan hawkins via phone call, email, or both. Speaker Hawkins may be reached by phone at (785) 296-2302. His official email address is dan.hawkins@house.ks.gov.</div><div>Majority leader Croft may be contacted by phone at (785) 296-7662.
