Hi Friends,
Greetings from Julius.
My life experience has been providing human services to the visually
impaired persons in my country Ghana.
I attended a computer training program at Overbrook school for the
blind international program PA, 1995-96 academic year. When I returned
to Ghana, I helped set up the first adaptive computer training centre
for the blind in Accra, the capetal city of Ghana.
In March 25, 2005 I opened another branch at the university of Cape
Coast main Library. This centre was to provide adaptive computer
training to all the visually impaired students in this university. In
all these places, I train one person who could assist me when I am
absent.
Now I am in the international institute for social entreprenuers
Kerala India learning all the skills which would help me to set up an
NGO, to provide human services to the less-fortunate disabled persons
in my country Ghana.
It is really a good idea to share our experiences with each other on
this network and find solutions to them. I am looking forward to be in
touch with all of you.
I wish you all the best in your field of human services.
