Hi Mary:
I was a student in the graduate social work program at Boston University in
the late 1970s. During that time I traveled several days a week to field
placements, also called internships, at agencies in the larger Boston area.
I used the local train lines and buses extensively. In short public
transportation was excellent. The trains, blue, red and green lines are a
little bit subway and a bit trolley-like travel to many areas of the city
and local area.
