I hate to suggest this but I think downgrading to office 2003 might work.
Also if your email can be viewed from an accessible website instead of
having to be downloaded to outlook then you can at-least use your email
independently again.  Otherwise I would suggest trying Thunderbird, Outlook
Express, or even Open Office from Adobe Systems.  I don't know if any of
this helps, but I hope that you somehow find an easy way to use your email.
