As our Division's past President's husband was navigating the raceway here in Daytona Beach I was supervising a mental health professional who works in this community.  He identified a case that was presented to him by his manager of a family with blind parents and several children, all of whom have disabilities.  The manager stated that some adult in the home must have vision for the safety of the children.  The contrast of Mark driving independently and this classic case of discrimination by disability was dramatic in my mind.  The attitude that, although judged to be excellent parents, this couple cannot adequately monitor their children is upsetting.

So, Melissa, give Mark a hug and cheer from us in the Human Services Division.
