[humanser] MA in Social Work / MA in Counseling Psychology

Hello everyone!

I am new to the list, and looking to enter the Human Services field.

I received my BA in Spanish two years ago, but finding employment has been
very challenging. I took a lot of Sociology and Psychology courses during
college. I am torn between whether I should get a MA in Social Work with a
mental health concentration or a MA in Mental Health Psychology. Could
someone please tell me their experiences obtaining either of these degrees?
I also am interested in working with individuals, families, and groups.

I am looking into graduate schools, and would like some recommendations of
programs, particularly in the south (Arizona, California, Florida, Texas,
South Carolina).

Any other advice / comments / suggestions are greatly appreciated.
