I want to clarify that I was able to get all the testing accommodations I
asked for without incident. I didn't want to take the test online because
I did not feel comfortable with it. If ASWB/Pearson Vie had MAGic or it's
equivalent well known software I would not have hesitated since I had no
troubles at home with the practice BSW exam. I'm a medium partial so I
guess I'm just lucky. I didn't have to have a scribe or anything.

As one person asked, "Why didn't someone just put the answers into the
computer for you?" Well, first I didn't ask for those accommodations.
Second, it would have taken much longer than just writing in the booklet
did. While ideally I would have done it all myself I didn't need the extra
stress of a new situation. I used to take the standardized exams in school
this way in the 70's and was never placed in special ed. so I must have done
just fine. Nobody messed with the scores that I know of either. I simply
picked a familiar format so I wouldn't be extra stressed. Years ago when I
took the PPST for education classes I did have a large print booklet and
scantron sheet. This time I assumed they would give me a large print
scantron this time too. but then again I didn't think to ask for it when
setting up accomodations. I was so tired after the exam I am glad all went
as well as it did. We have to remember that we are not living in a perfect
world and though it seems like the sighed world is against us most are not
trying to be. Besides, all blind people aren't perfect so why should we
demand more of others?
