[humanser] changing subject lines

Hi all,

I'm fine with voting for whatever others want to do. However, I do not think
that it should be assumed that it's common sense for members to know that
what they're posting on this mailing list is on a public website, and that
their posts may show up in an unrelated internet search. That is very
important information that all members need to know before joining this list
and posting. For me personally, keeping the list public will make me a lot
less apt to use the list because of privacy concerns. I do understand the
reasoning behind wanting to keep it public, though.

I should have changed subject lines on my last message; I'm half asleep
still. I apologize.

I gave some input before but, now that I more fully understand the types of
archives, I believe the list should be publically archived with the
knowledge that if someone posts to the list, whatever he or she writes will
be read by other members. If material is too sensitive or personal, then
that should be sent off list. This is just my opinion. I'm okay with
whatever come so the vote at the meeting, though.

Regards,

Denise

There are three options -- so you know. the first is public archives, the
second is "private" archives, and the third is no archive. A private
archive means that only list members can get in, they must use the password
they established, or received when they joined the list. If they don't know
their password, the system will e-mail it to them.
