good question. Maybe it can be recorded or the presenters could distribute
notes, if they have them, to members.

Have a good summer Mary whatever you're doing week of convention.

Merry,
I am so sorry to miss convention this year. The Human Services program
sounds absolutely terrific. Any way that those of us who are unable to get
to Florida this year can gain access to JD's DSM 5 info and other great
stuff that all of you are getting?

Hello Fellow Federationists and interested listers,

The NFB Human Services Division's Board has been working hard behind the
scene to bring to you many interesting topics for our Division meeting at
the National Convention in Orlando on July 2nd at 2 PM - registration begins
at 1:00 PM. However, very soon we will be launching our web site (thank you
Amalia Velez, Second Vice President) so you may pre pay your membership dues
of only $5.00 and avoid the long lines at convention. Our Treasurer, JD
Townsend, has been working diligently to make this occur. Please honor his
hard work by paying your dues early. Not only do you avoid long lines; you
will also be able to participate in the trivia pursuit during the 1 - 2 pm
hour, but another incentive is your name will be placed in a drawing to win
$25, $15, or $10.

I also would like to thank JD for his willingness to present at our
convention gathering, Changes to the DSM 5. Another topic of interest for
our Division has been employment related, and Board Member Tyrone Bratcher
has been able to get an NFB member and employee from the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to speak on many issues the Division has been
working on this past year. We are looking forward to a role play with this
guest and Board Member Denise Shaible. Denise will also be conducting the
trivia pursuit and we are very excited about this endeavor..sharpen your
skills on NFB history and please submit any trivia questions and answers
directly to Denise regarding your profession. A member of the NFB's legal
department will address us in regards to Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
So, as you can see this will be a great gathering!

I'd like to thank Nicole Yarmolkevich Secretary of the Division for taking
on the role of managing our Facebook Page and Twitter account, to be a part
of this please Like us at

and

Follow this twitter

https://www.twitter.com/NFBHumanService

Thank you Amalia for setting both of these up for the Division . We
appreciate your hard work!

We are looking for someone who is willing to volunteer their time to work
with Amalia on keeping our web site up-to-date, as well as making it
accessible for the blind. If you are willing to help please contact Amalia,
her email is in this email along with all the Board Members.

Before closing, I ask that we all continue to keep David Stayer, First Vice
President, uplifted in positive thoughts and prayers! We look forward to
your presence at convention David and may peace, love, and comfort surround
you!

I am looking forward to a great convention and seeing y'all there! (Had to
throw a bit of south in there!)

Respectfully,

Merry C. Schoch
