[humanser] Testifying in court as expert witness

One of my coworkers were murdered and I was asked to testify. Although I
only work part time, on the cross examination, the lawyer painted me as an
expert  just because of my extensive education. My blindness never was
brought up. 
I do not think it will be an issue at all. Trust me, the judge will be your
friend.

If someone uses your blindness to question your credibility, that could be
dangerous for their career.  I was just told this a few months ago when it
was implied that I wouldn't be able to testify in court in the area of
private rehab Justin..

Has anyone had experience doing this? I am being asked to provide expert
witness testimony for a client in a medical malpractice trial. I am
wondering about cross examination and the possibility of my competence being
