> California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) is hiring a licensed
counselor to work in Student Health and Counseling Services. Working under
the supervision of the Supervisor of Counseling, this counselor provides
intake assessment, crisis intervention and short-term individual, couples
and group counseling. CSUEB has a diverse, multicultural student
population, who present a wide range of psychosocial, developmental,
interpersonal, and relational concerns. The counselor works collaboratively
with psychiatrists and primary care physicians in a multidisciplinary
approach to help students achieve and maintain optimal mental and physical
health.

2016 with the possibility of reappointment. The work schedule is
Monday-Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

> Clinical Duties:
> * Provides psychotherapy for clients in individual, couples and/or
group counseling.
> * Provides urgent counseling services to students in crisis.
> * Provides debriefing and assistance during university-wide crises, as
needed.

> Non-clinical Duties:
> * Serves as a liaison for a unit or entity on campus (e.g. Pioneer
Heights, International House, Accessibility Services, Concord Campus).
> * Presents or helps design outreach programs or projects for the
university community.
> * Attends weekly case consultation meetings.
> * Attends weekly departmental meetings.
> * Provides individual and/or group supervision for MFT Interns.
> * Completes other tasks as assigned by Supervisor of Counseling and
Director.

> Requirements

> * Current license in California as an LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D or Psy.D (in
clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited program).
> * One year of work experience post-licensure.
> * Ability to provide time-limited individual counseling, couples
counseling, group counseling and crisis intervention.
> * Ability to provide debriefing and assistance during university-wide
crises.
> * Ability to make presentations to large and small groups on campus,
and design outreach programs and projects for the university community.
> * Ability to work after hours or on weekends on occasion for outreach
or crisis intervention.

with diverse student, faculty, staff and community.
