[humanser] Question about using assistive technology in the workplace

Hello,
I had this situation when I was working at Discovercard long ago.
The process is to ask the organization that you work for to provide the
accommodation. In my case, there was a lot of education to the company about
the technology, but the end result was that the accommodation was granted.
When I left the company, I had to leave the equipment behind as it was now
the property of the company.
In order to take advantage of assistance to VR in this manner, the
company will need to state that the accommodation is too costly for them to
provide. This means that the employee must request the "reasonable
accommodation" before it can either be denied or purchased. Good luck!

Warmly,

Rev. Michael “Big Dog” Abell

Thanks All for the responses. I have a follow-up question regarding the
installation of a screne reader on a company computer. If our case closed
with our VR counselor long ago, who might we talk to about getting
Window-eyes or JAWS in the workplace?

Thanks again,
Osmond
