[humanser] Accessible telehealth platform?

Is the need to have an audiovisual platform for  HIPPA compliance in
teleohealth trying to make it congruent with face to face (i.e. people
see each other).  This has no impact bearing on our performance or
competence.  However, I can see how the sighted therapists and insurance
companies might want a way to "verify" that you are talking to the
intended client and not a minor or some other ethical problem.

But I think that teleohealth is practical for Blind therapists provided
with have the appropriate encryption software and HIPPA Compliant platform.

Karen, if you feel you can create an accessible APP that will solve the
problem and meet the HIPPA Standards, I would say give it a try.  As
they say, necessity is the mother of invention and you and your clients
are in a lose-lose situation at the moment with the new regulations.

I wish you all the best.
