[humanser] accessible progress notes

Hello,
I have tried 3 emr software programs. They are all pretty good.
The first one is Therapy notes. I like that they have support that
is a live operator. They are making some changes that benefit users that are
blind, but they are a little difficult to navigate. They also do not have a
portal that will allow users to fill out forms for submission. The notes are
pretty good and as a simple tool they are pretty good.
Simple practice worked fair and had some good features. The best
feature was the portal. The portal is very accessibleand allowed my blind
clients to complete paperwork and submit them online. This allowed me to be
able to review their information on the portal. It also populates the record
for future use. The biggest problem was that they did not have any live
support. Everything was done online. This made it difficult to address
changes that were necessary.
The emr that we currently employ is Theranest. They have many of the
same features of Simple, but they have live support that is open to change.
They also have some workarounds that are helping the changes, but the
software is easy to use when you know what it does. I really like the
billing and ability to take and record payments. I am able to take the
payments and apply them to invoices that I can send via email to clients. My
clients also enjoy the ability to communicate via text messaging. This
allows for the recording of client contact.
I hope that this helps. Feel free to contact me off list if you have
any further questions. All three of the EMR programs have a free trial
period that allows you to play around before you decide. Good luck!
Warmly,

Subject: [humanser] accessible progress notes
Hi all,
I am new to this listserv. I have a small nonprofit that serves mental
health peers and I am trying to find an accessible progress notes software
program as I am the Executive Director and blind. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Traci Jones
