I would use excel if that made everything easier; excel while somewhat intimidating to persons unfamiliar with it works great, and automatically keeps things in order. 
If you have to use a mouse with the documents, try the mouse commands with JAWS.  They are a feature beginning with 18.  They are in 2018.  Find them in the command files.

I also would like your feedback on the degree to which, as therapists who are blind, you ask for help or you are allowed to do so.


Do you all use Excel documents  for your reports? I hate Excel and would 
do almost anything to get out of it, especially if JAWS does not read 
the item that's supposed to be filled in, such as "name, address, etc." 
Everything has to be templated and marked for JAWS and so on and so on. 
I have to print large documents that I hand to the clients, and I am 
worried that somehow one page would get out of order and them my 
document would look stupid. I still have documents online that require 
the user to move over them with a mouse; after that I can use them -- 
sort of -- but if I ever have to arrow up or down to change something, 
the document closes and I have to start all over again. I have a 
state-hired consultant, but the software developer has never, ever 
responded to any of our questions and we continue to work on that.


I am very anxious because I am supposed to be able to do allo phases of 
my work alone, when no one else is in the office. This has become an 
anxious burden for me.


What are some of the things for which you listers ask for help? When is 
it worth spending two hours to do something by oneself when a person 
with sight (and one who is willing) could do it in 10 minutes?
