Hello everyone! Congratulations to Lisa Irving on her wedding recently. I also have a new last name as I got married on Saturday.

I know that every state has different rules for continuing education in all their professional study is whether it’s education, counseling and someone. I’ve run into the problem where I cannot afford to pay the hundred and whatever plus transportation and hotel to attend many of the continuing education program advertisement that come in my mail. I was wondering where our resources to get continuing education credits for free or low cost? My VR counselor and the Department of safety and professional studies which issues licenses has not been too helpful. I’ve noticed that if you are a member of certified rehabilitation counselors associations or the national Association of social workers you can find ethics and other continuing education programs for a good deal. However I’m not even able to pay that price. What I meant is that I can’t afford the membership fee. Does anyone have any ways around this? Does any one know that if I become number of a state chapter of let’s say an ASW will that give me the same opportunities at a lower price than the national director? I’m very confused and I want to get my CE use up-to-date so I can practice with my state license. I am in Wisconsin and unfortunately their webpage is sort of vague and accessible when it feels like it so just going to the website doesn’t help. It’s more like written in the legalese then regular language. It makes choosing your college coursework look like a piece a cake!

Thank you very much for any suggestions, links, or anything else that can help! I’ve never taken anything online before so I’m kind of afraid. But my job developer is willing to sit with me and her in the sea use as well. He used to be a vocational counselor by trade, but has a better view of people with disabilities than most. He works for the epilepsy foundation.
