Thank you so much Sandy! It seems like these things, under so many different names. PESI comes up and then it takes me to the link you posted here. Seems bizarre to me but if it’s legit, I’d like the price! Thank you again! Keep the suggestion is rolling in.

They offer live and recorded sessions. What I really like is one can take a post test online, submit it, get scored, and retake as many times as needed to reach a score of at least 80 to pass. A certificate is emailed to you and the download link is always available. Accessing the webinars on my phone has been a bit more accessible than using my desktop computer.

I noticed as you said that if you’re a member of some of these organizations you get free continuing education classes. I’m not sure if they will help me. I would think it would be more cost efficient to pay for a years membership then to pay for individual CE use. How much did your membership cost? I have the general practice licsemce when usually gets right out of college after passing the ASW be and your state required exam.

Now I’m trying to get back into the workforce and the reality is I have a better opportunity with a license done without to find a job that is financially worth it. As we all know most beginning social work jobs require a drivers license because they’re Needing you to transport clients.

I’ve run into the problem where I cannot afford to pay the hundred and whatever plus transportation and hotel to attend many of the continuing education program advertisement that come in my mail. I was wondering where our resources to get continuing education credits for free or low cost? My VR counselor and the Department of safety and professional studies which issues licenses has not been too helpful. I’ve noticed that if you are a member of certified rehabilitation counselors associations or the national Association of social workers you can find ethics and other continuing education programs for a good deal. However I’m not even able to pay that price. What I meant is that I can’t afford the membership fee. Does anyone have any ways around this? Does any one know that if I become number of a state chapter of let’s say an ASW will that give me the same opportunities at a lower price than the national director? I’m very confused and I want to get my CE use up-to-date so I can practice with my state license. I am in Wisconsin and unfortunately their webpage is sort of vague and accessible when it feels like it so just going to the website doesn’t help. It’s more like written in the legalese then regular language. It makes choosing your college coursework look like a piece a cake!

>>> Thank you very much for any suggestions, links, or anything else that can help! I’ve never taken anything online before so I’m kind of afraid. But my job developer is willing to sit with me and her in the sea use as well. He used to be a vocational counselor by trade, but has a better view of people with disabilities than most. He works for the epilepsy foundation.
