[HumanSer] Taking time off from work

Hello

I hope the list is well. I am looking into getting into the field of social
work. I have my masters degree. I finished that in May 2017. I have been
taking the last two years to get to full time at my current call center job
and having two surgeries that nedicaid won't cover. I looked for a social
work job for over a year and only got one offer which I had to decline due
to distance to work. How should I go into interviews because I feel like if
I say I took time to get insurance get medical procedures done that have
resolved the issue and tried to make a bad guide dog relationship work that
I will be viewed as a liability. I have nothing to say otherwise though. I
tried even for case management jobs and was declined those. Interviews stop
and end at accomodations so if they ask how should I handle it because
saying I have these three options for accomodations has got me no where.
Now it looks bad I haven't got in the field at all. It is my understanding
msw needs supervision so not even sure how I can volunteer my time. Thanks
for your suggestions.
Yiska
