I used Cerner’s system at a previous job. I use ZoomText. It was manageable but difficult. That was 4 years ago though so maybe it is better. You might want to call the NFB legal department who I spoke to when I was having trouble. They were quite knowledgeable about many of the EHR’s and had some good advice about what others have found useful.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all healthy and well during this difficult time. I just interviewed this morning for a mental health intake specialist position with our local hospital system. The mental health intake specialist is tasked with reviewing referrals and admitting patients into the hospital’s psychiatric unit. Much of this work is done via Microsoft Excel, but referrals are also faxed and converted to Adobe PDF documents. Moreover, this company uses the Cerner electronic health record system.
Does anyone have experience with this EHR or in handling faxed PDF documents with JAWS?
Thanks in advance for any insight, and have a safe and healthy weekend!
Best, Miranda
