Hi Michael,
I to have found this list to be very beneficial as I have move forward in my educational and professional journey. I think more of the concerns that I have stem from the greater division level versus the mailing list itself. When I have posed questions and/or shared experiences here, I have received a great deal of support and encouragement. However, when I have expressed interest In expanding my involvement to include membership, the response has seemed a bit more quiet. I attended a board meeting wherein board members were present, but the guest speaker never showed. to my knowledge, this presentation was not rescheduled. I do wonder if providing the seminar agenda ahead of time would encourage greater involvement from the broader audience. I am also, as others have mentioned, looking forward to the ability to pay membership dues via an electronic platform. in today’s day and age, I personally believe this would be more effective and efficient for many of us, both personally and at the division level.
Thank you for the opportunity to share constructive feedback, and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
In Service, Miranda

> I have been on this list for quite some time now. I have learned much from you all and have contributed some as well. I don't think that every person is going to get what they want from this list. I agree that it is frustrating to hear the same question being posed on the list. This is especially frustrating when I have provided an answer previously. I do sometimes read the content and do not reply. This does not mean that I don't appreciate the information.
> I have met some wonderful and talented people on this list. I am envigorated in my work when I read of the perseverance and struggle that we all work through. My world is bigger because of you all. I am glad we are speaking about the problems that we are having on this list. We all have busy lives and striving for balance is difficult at times.
> When Chris speaks of canceling a client to attend a meeting that no one else attended I feel guilty as I have blown off meetings to attend to my schedule.
> When I joined this list I was struggling for my identity as a human service worker. I wanted to be an independent counselor. Now that I have my own practice, I find myself longing for those days that I had time to be more active on this list. There are days when I am so busy that I can't even read up on the list!
> Travis, I also am working on my doctorate. I find that this list serves as a wonderful area for me to address the applied work that I do. The doctorate work is a completely different animal! I enjoy being on this list and I hope that my suggestions resonate and help some. I hope that others are encouraged by this list as I have been. I appreciate you all!

A while back, there were regular monthly calls that had some good content and even some unofficial continuing education. I found them good to be on. Then communication came out announcing the next call but no one was on it after I scheduled to be on it (which had meant canceling a client). On inquiry, I did get a message that it had been moved to a different week of the month and they forgot to send out a notice. A new announcement for the next month with a new regular returning information. For the following three months, I tried to get on the call but no one was there and there's was no reply to my email inquiries about it.
> This type of engagement (or lack thereof) is problemsome. Particular questions not having someone able to respond to on the list or being a repeat of common questions and individuals not wanting to respond again is a different issue. In regard to the latter, I wonder how easy the archives are to access.
