[HumanSer] Contemplating New Career

Hi there,

J.D. is right ... A Masters in Social Work is certainly a lot of work.
I'll admit, I found doing an internship during the academic semester a bit
challenging. My university let me do part of my internship during the
summer. I also took an extra semester to finish my degree because of a
difficulty unrelated to blindness. All the hard work is certainly worth
the effort, though. After finishing, I found an AmeriCorps position for a
county public defenders office. I absolutely loved it! I had to leave
only because the two-year AmeriCorps commitment/grant ended.
