[HumanSer] Is anyone using EPIC as their EMR?

Years ago I scripted Epic for JAWS for a contract client. At the time though, I was working for a company;
now I am an independent contractor. Back then at least, Epic was web-based, at least in the sense of being
mostly composed of HTML pages though some had custom controls on them as well. They also provided some JAWS
support files directly; and I can only hope that this support has improved in the years since I was involved.

Hi
My hospital is bringing in a new electronic charting system... called EPIC. I live in terror that it will not be accessible and am having trouble finding out much about it. I am low vision. Is anyone using it ? and if so. what has your experience been?

Thanks

Excellent news. I have been interested in EMDR but have hesitated taking the training due to the cost weighed against possible access issues. Having referred clients to EMDR and it’s offshoots, I find the process intriguing.

Good Morning Jimmy,

So good to hear from you. I am so interested in the information regarding this email. Can you share some information with me regarding using EMDR as a blind professional? I would greatly appreciate it. I heard you are going to be at the state convention. I hope to see you there. Any information you can provide me will be extremely helpful: training, accessibility, etc. Thank you,and best wishes.

Good day.
For those who use EMDR equipment or are looking for an accessible unit. EMDRkits.com have a comprehensive and accessible app that works with the lighter and pulsators. IN the past year, there were some issues of buttons that were no longer labeled, such as the various light colors to change on the light bar, to name a few. I checked in with the company and they are releasing an update within the next few weeks that will address all of the issues that I have presented them. It is always exciting when we can promote change. I hope you are all doing well!
Warmly,
