Hi Amanda,
I don't have any specific book suggestions. But, I volunteered on a crisis
line for many years. After that, I also worked screening people for federal,
state local, and agency based programs. As part of this work I would also
have to assess for risk. Feel free to eelmail me so we can connect further.

My email is lorischarff at gmail.com

Subject: [HumanSer] Suicide counselling books

Hello
Hello everyone,
I have been offered a part-time job at a suicide and crisis intervention
line. I was wondering if there are any good books to read in preparation for
the job even though there will be training covering the topics before I
start.
Just want to be very prepared.
I look forward to your advice and recommendations.Amanda
