Happy Holidays:



We hope this card finds you happy and healthy.  This has been a busy year.



Julia made the volleyball team again at Taft.  She took up guitar in 
addition to her piano.  She applied to several high schools and we should 
have an answer by February as to how far she will need to travel for school 
next year.



Johnathon has been busy with 7 AP classes.  He brought home his best high 
school report card ever this marking period.  His social life continues to 
be full and he is still playing ping pong after school.   Johnathon will 
attend Univ. of Illinois at Urbana in the Fall.



Francisco works at the Cath-Lab but is seriously considering a change to 
EP-Lab.   He works too much right now.   Considering our economy, we can't 
complain overmuch about that though.



Patti's job has been laying off workers.  So far, she has not been on the 
list but, the City of Chicago is not finished reducing its workforce so we 
will keep you posted on that issue.  Patti now serves on the national board 
of the National Federation of the Blind in addition to being a state 
president.



In fact, Julia Francisco and Patti recently traveled to Baltimore to the 
National Center for the Blind.   The facilities and work performed impressed 
Francisco and Julia.   John stayed home.  He is 18 now and cast a ballot in 
the last election.



Next year we plan to be in Michigan for the annual NFB convention as well as 
our customary Summer and Christmas trips.   In February we are traveling to 
Florida to see Pat's dad.  In September and November we plan to be at the 
National Center in Baltimore again.  We are acumulating frequent flier 
miles.    Someday we will have enough to pay for one of our trips.
