Subject: Special Project with Diagnostic Devices, INC., (DDI)/NFB...
Good Afternoon Mrs. Chang:
This is Bernadette M. Jacobs with Diagnostic Devices, INC., (DDI),
manufacturers of the New "Prodigy Voice" talking glucose monitoring systems.
We have become aware that there are many blind/visually impaired folks who
are being denied these new talking meters by many insurance brokers,
companies, and managed care facilities because these folks claim that we're
:Not on their formularies" or are "Not in Network." So, in essence, many of
these claims are being denied and blind/visually impaired diabetics are left
without a quality talking meter which can be used completely independently.
DDI and NFB are working on a project together to remedy this problem.
However, we need your help. If you know of anyone who has recently
experienced such a denial, please have them contact either Bernadette Jacobs
with DDI or Charlie Brown, NFB. Please find below the contact information
for Bernadette M. Jacobs and Charlie Brown Respectively. I do have an
unlimited long-distance package. So if anyone needs to call and cannot
afford the call, please let me know and I'll immediately return your call
for help!
Hope to hear from you soon?
