A last reminder about the Disability Pride Parade. Hope to see lots of you
there!

Here is the scoop on the Disability Pride Parade on Saturday, July 25. If
you have not already indicated to me that you wish to march with the NFBI,
 please e-mail me off-list.

Our contingent number is 46. We will be lining up on the southeast corner
 of
Plymouth and Van Buren, which is by the loading dock of the Harold
Washington Library. There will be official Parade marshals who will be
roving around the area, so just ask for contingent 46. We must be in line
 by
10:30. In true Federation spirit, the parade will take place rain or shine,
so please come prepared for weather conditions.

Parade route - From Plymouth and Van Buren, we will turn west on Van Buren
and march to Dearborn. We will then proceed north on Dearborn to Daley
 Plaza
at 55 W. Washington. At Daley Plaza there will be some entertainment and
speakers as well as many booths. NFBI will have a booth.

 Rules to remember:
Our contingent number needs to be taped to our banner, which Carmen will
 take care of.
No items can be given out in the line-up area.
Once we turn west onto Van Buren and begin to march items may be handed
directly to spectators one at a time as we proceed. Items are NEVER to be
thrown. If anything is thrown by us we will be asked to leave the parade by
 the Chicago Police Department.
We must follow the contingent ahead of us within 40 feet.
No squirt guns or super soakers.
No helium balloons may be released.
Garbage must be placed in cans along the line-up and parade route.

Hope to see many of you on Saturday!

 Kelly
