I guess I did misunderstand the previous email that Liz sent. The Chicago
chapter will have one entry which will be based upon the theme designated by
the at large chapter. Though individual members will certainly be
encouraged to enter the competition, the Chicago chapter as a chapter will
only do one number.

Dave,
I think you misunderstood what Liz was asking. Last year, At-Large won the
Battle of the Chapter competition, which means they get to choose this
year's theme for the 2011 battle of the chapters. Liz was asking if the
entry you wrote about will be Chicago's entry in the Battle of the chapters
or if it will be a separate entry in the general Idol competition.

That is fine, thank you for letting me know. The theme for the chapter
competition will apparently be discussed at the next at-large meeting, to
be held this Sunday. Were you referring to that entry, or will the Chicago
chapter do another song as well?

The Chicago Chapter has yet to come up with a song for IABS Idol. This is
something we will be discussing at the September chapter meeting. I will
try to get the number of participants at that time.

This is a reminder to please sign up for IABS Idol by September 15.
Spots are filling quickly, so please get your reservation in as soon as
possible. Entries are $5 for person per song. People can sign up to perform
during Idol at convention, but if you will need IABS to provide a song for
you, we ask that you reserve a spot earlier.
If you have any questions and/or to make your reservation, please e-mail
Dale Sczweck - Dale.Sczweck at gmail.com or via phone (215) 390-7918. In
contacting him, please include how many people will perform your song, the
name of the song and whether or not you will need music provided or if you
will provide your own and how you will get that to us.
