NFBI-Chicago Chapter Convention Assistance Awards
The National Federation of the Blind of Illinois-Chicago
Chapter has
established upto six attendance awards for the 2014 NFBI State Convention.
All awards shall be designated as Chicago Chapter Convention awards. Each
award will be determined by the Chicago Chapter Convention Assistance
Committee. Any currently paid member of the NFBI-Chicago Chapter may submit
an application. The application must be submitted to President, David
Meyerdatemeyer at sbcglobal.net, or by mail at 814 Hannah Avenue, Forest
Park, IL
60130 by 12:00 Noon on August 15, 2014. via e-mail, in Braille, or in
print.
These convention scholarships are intended to assist members
involved with the NFBI-Chicago Chapter to attend our state convention and
strengthen their involvement. Recipients of the Chicago Chapter Convention
Scholarship Award must demonstrate genuine interest in, and commitment to
the blind of the Chicago area or the potential to develop such interest and
commitment. Recipients are expected to stay two nights at the convention
hotel and attend at a minimum all general sessions of the convention, the
resolution committee meeting, and the banquet.
All recipients of NFBI-Chicago Chapter Convention
Scholarships are
expected to contribute some of their own funding to attend convention.
