> There are two ways to go to the top or bottom, in most apps and situations on your iPhone.
>
> First, touching the display in the upper left corner moves VoiceOver to the first item on the screen. Likewise, touching the lower-right corner of the active display moves VO to the last item on the display. In email, safari, and several other apps, moving to the bottom right corner / last item on the screen, then using left flick to move VO back through the app, will go to the end of the emails/ end of the webpage, etc.
>
> Performing a four finger single tap with the majority of the fingers in the top half of the active display performs the same action as touching the upper left corner. Four finger tap with the majority in the lower half of the display moves VO to the last item, (the lower right corner).

> National Federation of the Blind of Texas Commends Congressman Thornberry for Support of Veterans with Disabilities
> Alvin, Texas (August 29, 2016): The National Federation of the Blind of Texas commented today on the inclusion of language that would allow more veterans with disabilities to participate in the Space Available program in the House version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by Congressman Mac Thornberry, chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services. Currently only medically discharged veterans injured on or after September 23, 1996, can participate in the program, while those injured prior to that date while defending the United States cannot.
>
> Norma Crosby, president of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas, said: "Blind Texans are extremely grateful to Congressman Thornberry for recognizing that the eligibility of veterans with disabilities for the Space Available program should not arbitrarily depend on when their disabilities were acquired and resulted in the end of their military service. We support the language that Congressman Thornberry has included in the House NDAA and urge that it be adopted when the House and Senate versions of the legislation are reconciled in conference this fall."
>
> Shelly Alongi, of Burkburnett, Texas, said: "I'm very happy that my representative, Mac Thornberry, supports this long-overdue correction to the exclusion of some veterans with disabilities from this program. Benefits for those who have made sacrifices in defending our country should be available to all of them, regardless of when they made their sacrifice."

> Soda Consumption Drops After Penny-Per-Ounce Tax In Berkeley, CA
> Aug 24, 2016
> Sugary beverage consumption declined by more than fifth in low-income neighborhoods in Berkeley, CA, after it introduced a penny-per-ounce tax last year, according to The Wall Street Journal. A new study published found that soda and sugary beverage consumption declined 21 percent after the tax went into effect. The study’s results suggest that the tax lowered consumption; however, it acknowledged that other factors could have been the cause as well.
>
> The findings were based on interviews with Berkeley residents in 2014 and again between April and August 2015.
>
> Neighboring San Francisco and Oakland will vote on a sugary beverage penny-per-ounce tax in November.
