Subject: Time Sensitive Update - 2020 Midwest Regional student Seminar

Dear Midwest Participants and Presenters,

Our leadership team has been closely monitoring the coronavirus/COVID-19
circumstances to ensure the safety and health of our attendees. Of course,
our priority is health and safety. Given the recent guidance from the World
Health Organization and Johns Hopkins Institute, I regret to inform you that
we will be postponing the 2020 Midwest Regional Student Seminar to a later
date. We will certainly communicate the later date immediately upon securing
it, so stay tuned!

The National Association of Blind Students and National Federation of the
Blind of Illinois are saddened by this decision and pondered alternative
means of providing the content to our registrants. Given our intent and
overarching goals, a virtual platform will not be ideal to conduct this
seminar. To that end, we are eager to see most of you at our new date; and
we hope the number of registrants only increases!

As for logistics, please contact the hotel to independently cancel your
reservations. If your accommodations were within a greater group, please
contact the point person to address the situation. If participants wish to
receive reimbursement on registration, please email Patti at:
pattischang at gmail.com <mailto:pattischang at gmail.com> no later than
Saturday, March 21. For those who paid via PayPal, Patti plans to reimburse
via PayPal. If you paid via check and seek reimbursement, please specify the
return address in your note to Patti.

For those able and willing to treat your registration fee as a monetary
donation to our movement, we deeply appreciate your gesture and assure you
that the funds will go far in advancing the lives of blind youth.

The door is always open, so please do reach out with any questions or
concerns. My cell is 203-273-8463.

Stay well and healthy,

Kathryn Webster | President

National Association of Blind Students

A proud division of the National federation of the Blind
