Hello all,

On Monday night at 7 pm, I would like to hold a conference call to discuss
resources at the local level that may aid our members and the blind
community as a whole to navigate the very real and serious health crisis
presented by COVID-19. The call in number is 605-313-4819, and the code is
6324.

Leslie Hamric has told you all about Uber Eats for food delivery for
example. Everette Bacon, President of the NFB of Utah and fellow NFB board
member has put together a list of resources, some of which are specific to
Utah. I would like to do the same for those of us in Illinois. So, bring
your knowledge and ideas. I have reached out to the Chicago Office of the
Mayor for People with Disabilities, but even if I receive a list, it may
mostly be specific to Chicago. So we need to have information from other
regions of the state.

We should cover topics like: resources that give direct information
regarding questions about Covid19, questions about how to get medical
assistance or advice, questions about financial assistance, grocery and meal
delivery, loan transportation, and so much more.

This by no means, is a complete list. Knowledge is critical to all of us.

Thank you.

Denise R. Avant, Esq.
