Subject: If You Need Elevator or Other Assistance at the Merchandise Mart
Station
Hello Everyone:
I hope everyone is safe and well.
I just want to provide a heads-up regarding wheelchair or other access at
the Merchandise Mart "L" station as the Merchandise Building is closed due
to the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
The trains are stopping at this location however the exit/entrance is
through a high barrier gate.
To accommodate anyone needing to use an elevator or needing assistance to
access the trains, the south entrance near the river is where you should
enter. There will be staff there to help get you to the train.
If you are getting off the train, there are signs posted with a phone number
to call which will provide assistance. Because some individuals will not be
able to see the posting, I am providing the phone number within this e-mail.
Merchandise Mart Security can be reached by calling 312-527-7700. I talked
to the head of Security who told me there is security 24/7. So, if you need
help, please call that number.
Please call me at 312-350-2301 should you have any difficulty using this
system to provide access.
Thank you for your consideration during this stressful time.
Take care of yourself and your family.
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL
