I had the pleasure of working with Steve Benson as a fellow state president
and a national board member. I always valued his intellect, humor,
commitment, and hard work. What he spoke about, he lived. He was not an
armchair philosopher but an active participant in shaping a community that
meant so much to him.

 

I want us to do a good spread in the Braille Monitor about this kind and
giving man. Those of you who know him well enough to want to author a piece
should contact me at

I can put one together from memories and fragments that are shared, but I
always get my turn in the headnote and so would welcome a contribution or
