Hello, Explorers and Discoverers!!


The weekend is almost here and we are moving on up!
As we reflect on the journey we've all been on, it's clear that each of us has faced challenges, yet we continue to move forward, to move on up, and to discover new possibilities. Whether it's a literal move or a figurative one, we're all looking for ways to improve our lives and uplift those around us. That's where you come in!
Your generosity will bring a splash of fun and excitement when the lucky winners discover a fabulous door prize...donated by you! And as we have learned from the past, we're all in this together! Together, we can make the good times even better! 
The good times are happening, leave your cares behind, come to Illinois State Convention and donate a door prize!  When we pull together and share, amazing things happen! It's a feeling we all share...getting a little bit closer to our goals, lifting ourselves up and always pushing forward. Keeping our heads above water, making waves when we can, hanging out and jivin', what door prizes will we be havin'?
How can you dive in and make some waves?
1. Contribute Your Door Prizes: We invite you to bring your door prize discoveries to Illinois State Convention and we will have a deluxe table in the meeting room for you to place your pieces of the pie on. Don't keep us scratchin' and hanging as to what you will be donating and shoot us a email to fill us in on your marvelous contribution!  Tasabih's email is: tasabih.elfaki at gmail.com and Michelle's is: michtlua at aol.com. Please make sure your door prize contribution is labeled in large print, beautiful Braille, or both so we can identify it. 
2.  Cash Prize Donations via Zelle: If you would prefer to contribute a cash prize, it is easy! Send your donations through Zelle to treasurer at nfbofillinois.org and contact NFBIL Treasurer Michal Nowicki to confirm receipt of the donation. Let him know if you have specific instructions on how you would like the prize to be awarded. For example, if you donate $50.00 and would like it split into multiple door prizes, just inform Michal. Don't forget to add a note on the Zelle donation indicating it's for Door Prizes at the IL State Convention. Please also shoot Tasabih or Michelle an email also.
3. Be Present to Win! You must be present in the room to win! Mark those calendars for October 17th-19th, reserve a spot to jump in, and don't be afraid to make a splash!
