Subject: RTA TO HOST PUBLIC HEARINGS - NOVEMBER 10-19

Dear Friend:

First of all, thank you for joining us last August for our first round
of budget hearings. Your presence was very much appreciated. Secondly,
the RTA is continuing an unprecedented outreach effort by conducting a
second round of public hearings throughout the region from November 10th
through the 19th, and we seek your help to spread the word and generate
strong attendance.

We have scheduled the hearings earlier this year to afford the public
the best opportunity for meaningful input. The hearings will cover our
transit system's budget for 2009 and address our long-awaited capital
investment needs.
Please inform your members, affiliates and employees about the
hearings. You can help spread the word by:
* Sending e-mail blasts to your contacts
* Creating a link on your website to
www.movingbeyondcongestion.org

* Including a mention in your organization's newsletter
* Disseminatingthe attached public hearings schedule
