Shopping to Belong is a documentary that explores the relationship between
consumerism and citizenship in the Latino community and how it is utilized
to own a sense of belonging. This documentary aims to explore the premise on
which immigrants shop as a means to feel a part of this country, given that
it is one of, if not the main, cultural activity in the United States.

Four very diverse characters meet in an elevator. An executive, a designer
and a Police officer are secretly and individually warned about a killer
"wearing blue". A calm nervousness begins to show. Meanwhile, the fourth
character, a deliveryman, listens loudly to salsa music through his
headphones, completely unaware of the situation. Tensions continue to grow
inside the elevator: all of them are dressed in blue.
