Parent Seminar:  April 9th & 10th @ Holiday Inn O'Hare. Rooms are reserved 
from 8am to 5pm.



Rooms: Superior A&B, with enough sitting with 60 people.

Huron room & Ontario for kids camp (15) and teen (10)



Need a press release, flyer, application form - Beth, Kurt and Tina to 
handle this.

To be included on the flyer is some general ideas on what will be in the 
teen and kidkamp



Title agreed on: The ABC's of IEP -   IEPs and More



Lunch: one choice (turkey club only)

Lunch for kids: one choice and allowed to bring from home



Room setup: U shape or rectangle - chairs on the outside of the rectangle.

Need podium, mike, and portable mike



Introductions should give people more time to discuss their personal 
situation/concern



On IEP issues: Cover minutes and accommodations extensively.



Possible Speakers:

Joan Allison to be invited to be a speaker at seminar about multiple 
disabilities (to be asked by Tina)

Pam Redding: to talk about sports  (to be asked by Nelly)

Debbie Head: pro-braille, highly regarded, did presentations at National 
convention (to be asked by Beth)

Gloria Moyer (to be asked by Debbie)

Cindy R. (to be asked by Tina)

Offer hotel & food for Debbie; not for other speakers



Teen speakers:

Michael (to be contacted by Dave - on transition)



30 minutes for kids 4:00 to 4:30

Add social time - 30 minutes 4:30 to 5:00pm



KidKamp:

Someone be in charge on kidkamp activities for the hour they are going to 
volunteer

Francisco to be one constant for ½ day.

Bill will take 1 hour segment

Patti will also take 1 hour segment



9-10 Introductions

10-11 Joan Allison

11:00 - 12:00: Michael & Pam

12:00 - 1pm: Lunch Open for social and talk

12:40-1pm: Braille readers are leaders recognition

1:00-4:00 teacher panel, NOPBC, NFB

4:00-4:30 kids to come in for show?

4:30 - 5:00 social
