[CONCERNED CITIZENS OF PARATRANSIT]

Just to let those of you who don't know, when Pace Bus Co. took over Chicago paratransit from CTA, the cost per trip was $18.  This was as of July 1 2006.  So in only 3 years the cost of paratransit has more than doubled under Pace Bus Co's wonderful management in only a few years.  Just imagine what it will be in another 10 years!  People who receive social security or SSI are forced to remain at their same income level for 2 years without any increase.   And also remember Pace Bus Co received $33 million in stimulus money in June of this year and as they reported to CCP and others none of that money was put toward the 2009 budget.
