Hello Everyone,

Those of you who are relatively new to us may not be aware that the Illinois
Talking Book and Braille Service has a consumer advisory committee which
meets four times a year to discuss issues that concern the library program.

One of these four meetings is a day-long meeting held in Springfield which
generally occurs in June. That is indeed the case this year.

I currently represent NFBI on this committee.

Our Springfield meeting will occur on Friday, June 12 of this year. If
anyone has any feedback they would like to give me regarding library
services, be it either positive or negative, please contact me off list or
call me at 708-209-1767 to let me know what your recommendations might be on
how to improve library services in Illinois. of course, if you would like
to point out areas where the library program is doing an exceptional job at
meeting your needs, you can do that as well.

Please give me any comments you might have concerning library services prior
to June 12, and I'll be happy to forward them to the committee or to
appropriate library staff.
