Here's hoping that this change strengthens the program at ICRI-Wood,
resulting in an adjustment-to-blindness and rehabilitation training that 
sets
high expectations of participants and evvectively equips them
through training in the use of effective alternatives such as Braille and
independent travel.  The NFBI will continue keeping watch and offering 
constructive criticism where appropriate.

We are delighted to announce that Brenda Alexander will join the
ICRE-Wood staff effective, Monday, November 16th.  Brenda has accepted
the position of Program Director at ICRE-Wood.

Brenda has been a Supervisor in Region 1 BBS for 4 years and is a
graduate of the Northern Illinois University,  Vision Therapist Masters
Program.   Brenda is an experienced Vision Therapist having worked in
the field for 14 years.  Please join us in welcoming this outstanding
professional to the staff of ICRE-Wood.
