 - For those who miss the Oct. 5 cutoff for standard registration. 
 - Requires going to Election Board, 69 W. Washington St., 6th Floor. 
 - After registering, "grace period" participants vote a form of absentee
ballot.

 - Chicago voters may use any of 51 sites in the city. 
 - Voters do not need a reason or excuse to use Early Voting.
 - Government photo ID is required.
 - All sites open Mon-Sat, 9 am - 5 pm. Limited sites open Sundays/holidays.

New: No excuse is needed. Any voter may cast a ballot absentee by mail.

NOTE: Original absentee applications must be delivered in person or by mail
or certified courier. Absentee ballot applications CANNOT be submitted by
email (unless for voters who are civilians residing overseas or military
personnel).

 - October 22 - Military/Civilian Overseas voter applications must be
received by Election Board. Fax and email applications accepted. 
 - October 28 - All other absentee applications must be received by Election
Board. Original applications must be submitted in person, by mail or by
certified courier. Non-overseas/non-military applications cannot be
submitted by email.
 - October 28-November 1 - In-person absentee voting at the Election Board,
69 W. Washington St., Suite 600 
 - November 1 - Last day absentee ballots may be postmarked and certified by
the voter or delivered in person to Election Board. 
 - November 2 - If voter failed to submit absentee ballot by Nov. 1, voter
may submit the unused absentee ballot to the judges at the polling place
designated for that voter's precinct and cast a ballot in person. 
 - November 16 - Last day that a mailed absentee ballot (postmarked or
certified Nov. 1 or earlier) may arrive at the Election Board to be included
in the count.
