I'm forwarding this important message from Jesse Hartle for any who have not
already heard the exciting news. The Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act,
S841 (a.k.a. the Quiet Cars Bill), has unanimously passed in the U.S.
Senate. We have only a few days to get passage in the House before Congress
adjourns. It is paramount that we all call our representatives in Congress
and urge them to pass S. 841, the bill which has come to the House from the
Senate.

Debbie

> know that, thanks to your hard work, the Senate passed S. 841, the
> Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act, late last evening.
>
> As you know from previous legislative alerts, the Motor
> Vehicle Safety Act, S. 3302, was not allowed to move forward due to a
> couple of senators placing holds on the bill. It was decided that
> the Senate would take the noncontroversial pieces of the Motor
> Vehicle Safety Act and attempt to pass them as standalone bills. Our
> Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act was one of these pieces, and it was
> passed by unanimous consent. S. 841 will now move to the House for

> I am asking that you contact your member of the House of
