Hi, David,
Sorry I'm just now getting back to you. We'd like people to figure out what 
they'd spend on flowers and send money instead, to one of us at our home 
address.  Carm loved the NFB and she loved ISVI. If people would like their 
donation to go to either the NFB or ISVI, will they please put their 
preference in the "memo" section of their check, and we'll do our best to 
honor those preferences, at least in part. If this information is already 
somewhere in the net, I haven't seen it yet because I was only able to let 
go of my job today, and am only now getting to respond to all the wonderful 
support Carm is getting.

Charley,

I talked with Ken Staley yesterday.  I will call him this morning about
Carmen's passing.  I will also call Pat Corrigan.  Am I understanding
correctly that you wish for her money to go toard either NFB or NFBI or do
you wish for her to contribute flowers as she originally suggested?

Many moons ago, at a national convention fund-raiser, someone said: "give
til it hurts," then someone else said: "give til it stops hurting." Carmen
achieved the second goal tonight. Life support was removed at 9:53pm; her
heart officially stopped 62 minutes later. Our daughter Penny will let me
know about Joliet funeral arrangements probably late tomorrow; I'll pass
them on as soon as I can. Thank you all so much for your support.

Kristy Dennis just called me.  I am very sorry to report that she and her
family indicate that Carmen is not improving.  The family will be
withdrawing life support soon after all family members have arrived.

She asked me to create a list of people who would plan to attend services in
Joliet.  Please e-mail me off list if you would be attending.
