'Transformers' film shoot shuffles CTA buses

(Crain's) - Eight Chicago Transit Authority buses will be rerouted this 
weekend as
filming on "Transformers 3" shuts down some Chicago streets.
The Michael Bay-directed movie is schedule to shoot at several downtown 
locations
starting Friday evening and will close a number of streets intermittently 
over the
next few weeks. Filming in Chicago is expected to wrap up Aug. 19.
>From 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday:
LaSalle Street will be closed between Jackson and Randolph streets.
Washington Street will be closed between Wells and Clark streets.
Randolph Street will be closed from Wacker Drive to Wells.
Wacker Drive will be closed between Monroe and Van Buren streets.
The following CTA buses will take detours starting at 7 p.m. Friday:
No. 14 Jeffrey Express.
The northbound bus will detour at Madison and Dearborn streets before 
resuming its
regular route at Madison and Wacker.
The southbound bus will detour at Monroe and Canal streets before resuming 
its regular
route at Clark and Monroe.
No. 20 Madison heading east will detour at Washington and Franklin streets 
and head
to Wacker then Clark then resume its regular route at Washington.
No. 56 Milwaukee.
The northbound bus will detour at Madison and Dearborn before returning to 
its regular
route at Wacker and Madison.
The southbound bus will detour at Washington and Franklin then travel on 
Franklin
to Wacker, turn on Clark and resume its regular route at Washington.
No. 60 Blue Island/26th Street heading west will detour at Madison and 
Dearborn before
returning to its regular route at Wacker and Madison.
No. 124 Navy Pier heading south will detour at Madison and Dearborn before 
returning
to its regular route at Wacker and Madison.
No. 126 Jackson.
The eastbound bus will detour at Jackson and Canal to Lake Street, Wacker 
and then
Clark before picking up its regular route at Jackson.
The bus heading west will detour at Adams and Dearborn streets before 
turning on
Wacker, then Madison, then Clinton before resuming its regular route at 
Adams.
No. 130 Museum Campus.
The eastbound bus will detour at Jackson and Canal to Lake, to Wacker and 
then Clark
before picking up its regular route at Jackson and Clark.
The westbound bus will detour at Adams and Dearborn and take Wacker to 
Madison before
resuming its regular route at Clinton Street.
No. 151 Sheridan.
The southbound bus will detour at Adams and Dearborn to Wacker, then Madison 
and
then Clinton before turning around at Jackson.
The northbound bus will start its route at Jackson and Clinton then detour 
to Clark
and Jackson before picking up its regular route.
Other street closings are to follow
throughout the city, including a weekday filming schedule
that will shut down part of Michigan Avenue.
The third "Transformers" movie is expected to create more than 200 jobs and 
generate
at least $20 million for Chicago, according to the city.
