Subject: [il-talk] my dad's in the hospital

Hi All. This morning, I received a phone call from my mom informing me that
my dad's in the hospital. He fell last Wednesday and thought he pulled a
muscle in his leg but it wasn't getting any better. Yesterday, he went to
the doctor who recommended an x-ray be taken of his leg beause he wanted to
rule out any broken bones. The doctor put him on vikadin and complete
bedrest. This morning, he woke up in severe pain. In fact, it was so bad
he couldn't even stand up. So my mom called the doctor who suggested he go
to the emergency room and that's where he is right now. My dad's 85 years
old so falls and the like could be potentially serious for him. He's
supposed to have an MRI done sometime today. The doctors at the hospital
think the pain he's having may be coming from some problem in his back but
we won't know anything until the results are read from the MRI. I'm just
waiting till my mom calls me with more information, as I don't want to bug
her too much. Your thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
much.

Leslie
