Good Afternoon-
 
We need your help!  We are actively trying to get legislation passed that will provide a safety net against funding shortfalls for ADA Paratransit service.  It is very important that each of you get involved and send this advocate letter to your legislator or your local newspaper.  If you are an advocate or a representative from a workshop, please tailor the message to fit your situation.  This same template is being sent to numerous people, so please customize and personalize the letter to reflect your own story using your individual feelings and circumstances.  This letter is intended as a guide only, so write anything that you would like as long as you remember to reference the bill number and why it is important for the legislature to pass this bill. Please view the attached letter and fact sheet. Please forward this to friends, relatives, and other advocates and encourage them to support this bill also.
 
We encourage you to contact your state representative to tell them that you support House Bill 585 and that it’s important to you. If you’re unsure of who your legislators are, please visit http://www.elections.illinois.gov/DistrictLocator/DistrictOfficialSearchByAddress.aspx to get your state representative’s contact information.
